You just got a full scholarship to two colleges: one is in New York City, the other is in California.  Which one would you choose?  Explain.

If i just got a full scholarship to two colleges: one in New York City, the other is in California. I would choose the one is in New York City because i live in New York City, i don't want to go to some schools that far away from my house or they are not in New York City. California is too far from here and i have to take the plane to get over there. I really hate that. And another reason that i don't want to go to the college is in California because if i go to that college in California, i must live in there or live in the school but my family all live in New York City, i can hardly meet my family and they can hardly visit me also because if i want to meet my family and visit them, i have to take the plane to get to New York or California. It really bother and make me tired. And the airplane ticket is expensive, it spend many money.

Are you an extrovert (energized by being around other people) or an introvert (energized by being alone)?

I am an introvert. I am a very shy girl. I think I am the most shy person in the whole world. I don't talk to people often except my family members or my good friends. All of the people who know me think I am too shy to speak up and it is very hard to make me speak up and hardly hear my voices. I don't like get too close to other people. I like to sit, eat, play and do everything by myself. I hate crowd places.

What’s one thing you’d change about your neighborhood?

In China, my neighborhood is an old woman. She always nice to my whole family. She is a very kindly lady. I always call her ''Grandma''. She is really nice to me. If she cook some tasty traditional chinese food, she won't forget to call me to her house and share her food with me, or she just take some trays of food to my house and share with my whole family. What a kindly lady she is! She has a very nice family also. Her son is a good Navy, her daughter works in a big company far away from her house and she does a white-collar job, Her husband is a kind of chinese traditional opera actor. So everyone say she has a really nice life, she don't have to work, take care of her children or worry about the economic of the incomings. But i know she is very lonely, she is more lonely than anyone because every time when i walk pass by her house, i can see she sits on the sofa by herself in a black house, eat or watch television. Can you imagine a old woman always live in a black house, do everything by herself except some of her friends visit her? From that day on, i often visit her, go to her house and talk, eat or watch television with her if i am free.

Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not?

 

I don't believe in ghosts because i think this is not real, it is fake and i think it is old ancient terror legends and rumors, they only exist in the stories, books or movies. But i think many old people believe in ghosts, they think the ghosts are the spirits out of their body after they die. And many old people who believe in ghosts   always think the ghosts look horrible, they will only exist at night, and they will scare or kill you.

What something you fake all the time?

I never fake anything all the time. I think all the people should be honest to everyone and do not lie to anyone. But only one thing i fake sometimes is my age. And i don't think this is such a big problem. But sometimes people would make fun of someone's age if they find he/she is older than them and they may laugh and say:'' He-he, you are older than us, you will die before us! he-he!'' And they will laugh and shout to everyone so that everyone can hear about it. That is very annoying. I don't think this is a problem and in China, many girls say:'' Age is a girl's biggest secret.'' I keep my age as a secret it doesn't mean i am old. I just don't want anyone who is younger than me make fun of me because of my age.

A window opens, it's you 3 years ago, what advice do you give yourself?

If a window opens, it is me 3 years ago, the advices i should give to myself are: I should learn more English and work hard on English in China before i move to United States so i would not have a life as difficult as now, i would be better if i know English. I should study very hard on science, my science is not really good and i don't really learn it in China, and now science is the most difficult subject for me and it is all English also. So i should try my best to learn it, study and understand it.
