Turing Test

a) Did either of the machines come close to passing the Turing Test (did they seem human?)
Yes, the cleverbot machine comes close to passing the Turing Test. They seem like the human.
b) What were some of the questions you asked them?  Why?
I ask them,'' what is your name?'', '' how old are you'', '' how are you?'' and where do you come from?''. Because I think these questions are easy and normal. Everyone would ask these questions when you first to meet someone who you don't know. It is a way to know someone.
c) Why do you think it’s so hard to design a machine that passes the Turing Test?
Because the machine can't represent the human's brain, the machine can't have the same feelings as a human.

1. Name 5 human rights and explain what they mean.

1) Don't discriminate, it means people can't discriminate others because their ages, skin color or anything.

2) No slavery, it means people can't treat other people like the slave.

3) No torture, it means people can not hurt and force other people.

4) We are all equal before the law, it means we are all equal before the law, no matter how we look, our skin color or anything.
5) The right to privacy, it means everyone can not violate others privacy.

2. What human rights are violated in the game ICED?  Explain.
In the game ICED, some human rights are violated like the human rights#9, No Unfair Detainment. When I play the game ICED, I had not do any bad thing but the police officers just catch me and put me in the detention.

3.  If you could re-design this game, what would you keep?  What would you do differently?
If I could re-design this game, I would keep those characters, the same places and the same way to play. I would like to offer a translator for other people who don't understand English, put more people in the streets and make three different levels for easy, normal and difficult.

When the character ask me to go out, I choose no. When he ask me to go outside to play, I still choose no.

This game is important because it can let you know about the HIV/AIDS and you could know how to protect yourself.

4. How could this game be improved?

This game can be better if it can offer a translator for the people who don't understand English.

The ''N" word

1. Where does the N-Word Come from? Why does it offend some people so much?
The ''N'' word come from the African slavery. The ''N'' word offend some people so much because it has a bad and mean history from the slavery. This word have some means. It is a bad word to black people. It hurts black people 's feelings.                                                               
2.  Should non-black people be able to use the N-Word?
 The non-black people shouldn't be able to use the ''N'' word because it is a bad word, and it is not respect.               
3. Should musicians stop using the N-Word?
Musicians should stop using the ''N'' word because it is not a good word.                                      
4. Do other ethnic groups (for example, Chinese, Jews, and Dominicans) use ethnic slurs like the N-Word to describe themselves?  If not, why? 
Other ethnic groups do not use ethnic slurs like the N-word to describe themselves because this is bad and it is not respect. We should respect to everyone. For example, I come from China and I know in China, everyone respect to everyone even they don't know each other. We are respect and friendly to everyone.
5. What would happen if black people (and everyone else) started using “king” or “queen” instead of the N Word?
If black people or everyone else started using ''king'' or ''queen'' instead of the  N word, they will be more friendly.

Airport Security

I think the body scanners can help the airport security. Because it can check and see everywhere of your whole body. It is very helpful for the airport security. If someone want to do something bad, bring something that break the rules of the airport security, the body scanner can see it. Although the body scanners can help the airport security but I don't think it is really good for people because everyone need privacy, privacy is very important for people like our bodies. For myself, I don't like that either.
